A quick guide before you start picking your apps.
Category limits
Each category lets you include a set number of apps - shown as “X of Y selected” at the top of every step. Pick up to that limit. Need more room in a category? Use Add another app to buy an extra slot ($4.99 each); each slot unlocks one more app, up to that category's full list.
A curated catalog
You choose from our approved catalog only - custom apps and sideloading aren't supported. That's what keeps the device locked to your standards. Want an app considered for the catalog? Contact us.
Learn more about any app
Not sure what an app does? Every app here is a real app on the Google Play Store - search its name there to read its full description, screenshots and reviews before you pick it.
Already on every device
No need to pick these - every device comes with Gboard for typing, a file manager, and the Settings app preinstalled. They don't count toward any category limit.
Some apps do the same job - pick just one
A few apps overlap in what they do, so you usually only need one. Choose whichever you prefer based on its interface and features:
